Parks play an important role in people's lives. Research shows that spending 20 minutes in a park every day helps people to relax, whether people exercise in it or simply take a walk.
Now many young people love visiting parks. Huang Bingbing, now living in Shenzhen, is one of them. When she first arrived there 10 years ago, she was surprised to find that the city had hundreds of parks. And now there are more parks. They are located in neighborhoods and between office buildings. Shenzhen is a young city with a large population of young people. That is why many of its parks have smart facilities (设施) and children's play areas.
Huang has set a target for herself— the "Shenzhen Thousand Parks Challenge". She plans to visit all the parks in Shenzhen. Starting in the spring of 2021, Huang has visited nearly 100 parks. She shares her experiences through vlogs (视频博客). "It's also a way for me to learn more about this city," she says.
Huang enjoys being with herself, and she thinks parks are perfect places for people like her. She often spends time alone in parks, enjoying the beauty of nature. "It takes my mind off my problems and worries," she says.
