A few years ago, Nixon started to watch the sunrise every morning on a bench (长凳) in a park. He enjoyed himself because the activity (help) him get ready for the day.
One day, a woman (sudden) stopped to say hello to Nixon. Nixon was surprised. woman said, "Every morning when I see you sitting here, I know that everything is going to be okay." Her words pushed Nixon (make) a change.
From then on, instead of just (watch) the sunrise, Nixon began to communicate with people passing by the bench. Soon, more and more people joined Nixon. Some of them just sat in silence Nixon and enjoyed the sunrise. Some of them talked about whatever they wanted to. Nixon was happy to listen to them. Sometimes he also offered (he) advice. He wanted to let people know that they didn't have to feel lonely. "I hope they can be much happier and (relaxed) after talking with me," Nixon said.
Now Nixon is over 60 years old, he continues to do the activity. Almost every morning, he drives about seven miles to the park and stays there for two hours. He believes that by being there with people, he can make a (different) to their lives.
